Cliffs of the Upper Colorado River, Wyoming Territory

Material: Rolled Gloss Photographic Paper(Unlaminated)

This oil-on-canvas painting was created ca. 1897 by American painter and printmaker Thomas Moran (1837-1926). Although the West was more “settled” at this time, Moran painted this view of the Green River (also called the Upper Colorado) and valley as he imagined it looked when Native Americans rode there.
