Italianate Landscape with Pines
This oil-on-canvas painting was created in 1795 by Dutch painter and printmaker Hendrik Voogd (1768-1839). In 1788, he received the financial support of an Amsterdam art patron and traveled to Rome, where he joined a colony of international artists. This painting is an example of Voogd's Italianate style and shows the landscape near Rome. (Rijksmuseum)
