Washington's Triumphal Entry in New York City
This painting shows George Washington, on a magnificent white horse, and other military officers during his triumphal entry in New York City on November 25, 1783, marking the end of the British Army’s occupation during the Revolutionary War. The chromolithograph was published in 1879 by Edmund P. & Ludwig Restein, (LC-DIG-pga-02468).
