Anteater on the Move
Anteaters live in the tropical savannahs and forests of southern Mexico and as far south as Paraguay and northern Argentina. Four species of anteaters include the northern and southern tamanduas, the silky anteater, and the giant anteater. Their long, sticky tongues and sharp claws help them feast on ants and termites—up to 30,000 a day!
