Koala Baby Hangs On
Koalas live in the wild only in Australia, in eucalyptus forest or open woodlands. The eucalyptus tree provides them with both food and shelter. They have strong legs and paws, and a good grip for climbing. These marsupials consume up to two-and-a-half pounds of eucalyptus leaves a day. Most of their water supply comes from the leaves’ moisture.
