Polar bears live in the frozen regions of the Arctic, including parts of Canada, Alaska (US), Greenland, Russia, and Norway. The largest carnivores on Earth, they can weigh as much as 1,500 pounds. They appear white but have black skin underneath to pull in the warmth of the sun. They primarily eat seals. Because of the effects of climate change, they are listed as vulnerable.
