An Alert Antelope
Antelopes are hoofed mammals that are herbivores and ruminants, meaning they have multiple compartments in their stomachs. They eat by chewing, then regurgitating, and then rechewing. These fast, plant-eating mammals live in Africa and parts of Asia, although various species live elsewhere, including the United States. They live in large herds to stay safe from predators, while others live in smaller family groups.
