Alligators are only found in two countries, America and China (endangered, only 150 there). In the United States, alligators live in swamps, marshes, rivers, lakes, and canals. Adult alligators eat fish, snakes, turtles, small animals, and birds. Although ungainly and weighing up to 1,000 pounds, they can sprint up to 27 miles per hour.
