Hy Myers, Wilbert Robinson, and Mascot on Deck
This photograph shows Brooklyn Robins’ center fielder Henry Harrison “Hy” Myers kneeling alongside manager Wilbert “Uncle Robbie” Robinson and the team’s mascot. The Robins won their first National League pennant that year and advanced to the World Series for the first time. The photograph was published in 1916 by Bain Nes Service.
