This photograph shows children and an adult playing ball on a baseball diamond in the Emerson Wight Playground in Springfield, Massachusetts. The photographer, Lewis W. Hines, was best known for documenting child labor practices with photos that were helpful in passing new labor laws. The photograph was created in 1916 by Lewis W. Hine.
