BA50 Babe Ruth in Yankee Stadium
This photograph shows baseball hitter and pitcher George Herman "Babe" Ruth (1895–1948) standing outside his team’s dugout in Yankee Stadium. Babe Ruth left the Boston Red Sox in 1920 and was playing for the New York Yankees (NY AL) at this time. Babe Ruth is famously said to have then led them to numerous pennants and World Series titles. The photograph was created in 1921 by Bain News Service.
