This photograph shows Detroit Tigers player Tyrus Raymond “Georgia Peach” Cobb (1886-1961) at bat. Cobb led the American League in numerous categories, including doubles, triples, and stolen bases. He was feared for his ruthless nature and revered for his legendary talent. The photograph was published in 1914 by Bain News Service.
