These colorful birds, found in the North Atlantic Ocean, are nicknamed the "sea parrot" or "clown of the sea.” They are strong swimmers and divers and spend most of their lives in the ocean, coming to shore only to breed. Iceland hosts more than half the Atlantic puffin population during breeding season.
