Little Egret on a Rock
This smaller wading bird is a member of the heron family and noticeable for its yellow feet, sometimes called “yellow slippers.” It lives in wetland areas such as marshes, riversides, and coastal lagoons across much of Eurasia, Africa, and Australia. It hunts fish and other small aquatic animals by standing perfectly still or wading through water.
