Both sexes of these birds are almost entirely covered in vibrantly colored feathers of moss green, violet blue, and yellow. They live in the Andean cloud forests of Western Colombia and Ecuador, where they eat the fruits, flowers, and insects they find there. They forage alone but may also hunt with flocks of mixed species.
