Romance among European Bee-Eaters
These multi-colored birds are known for their striking plumage. They are migratory and are found across southern Europe, parts of North Africa, and western Asia. They mostly eat insects such as wasps, hornets—and bees! In this photo, the male on the left appears to be engaging in a common courtship ritual as he offers an insect to the female.
