The national bird of the Philippines, Philippine eagles were once known as a "monkey-eating eagle." However, it also eats colugos (flying lemurs), large snakes, and monitor lizards. It can grow to just over 3 feet with a wingspan of over 6 feet. It is considered critically endangered due to habitat loss and hunting.
