This photograph shows some of the men of the 1st Brigade Horse Artillery relaxing along with visitors at their winter headquarters, Brandy Station Va. Winter quarters life was dull with little to pass the time but drill, drill, and then drill some more. The presence of visitors to camp was a welcome break in the monotony of winter quarters life.
