This photograph shows a posed portrait of Union Army members of Company G, 114th Pennsylvania Infantry. The men are wearing Zouave uniforms and were known as Collis’ Zouaves. The photo was taken in Petersburg, Virginia, during the Siege of Petersburg during the American Civil War in August 1864.
