Still Life with Flowers in a Glass Vase
This oil-on-canvas painting was created by Dutch still-life artist Rachel Ruysch (1664-1750) ca. 1700. Ruysch was the most famous female artist at that time and specialized in floral arrangements. Wealthy art lovers were willing to pay large sums of money for her still-life paintings. She was also married and had ten children. (Rijksmuseum).
