Montmartre Õhtul (Montmartre in the Evening)
This oil-on-canvas painting is title, “Monmartre Õhtul,” which translates in English to “Montmartre in the Evening.” It was created in 1938 by Estonian artist Aleksander Vardi (1901-1983), who was known for painting in the style of Impressionism. It shows the Montmartre area, a large hill in Paris, France, famous for its association with artists.
