Landscape with a Stone Bridge
This oil painting was created on a panel by Dutch artist Rembrandt van Rijn (1606-1669) ca. 1638. Rembrandt painted few landscapes. This shows two people chatting on a stone bridge, with a cottage off one end of the bridge. The painting is admired for its dramatic burst of sunlight breaking through the clouds on an otherwise dreary day. (Riksmuseum)
