This oil-on-canvas painting was created in 1837 by Scottish artist David Roberts (1796-1864). It shows a street scene outside the famous King's College Chapel in Cambridge, England. The Chapel was built piece by piece by a succession of kings of England from 1446 to 1515. (Smithsonian)
