Tourists viewing the Grand Canyon
A group of men, women and children holding walking sticks visiting Yellowstone National Park (Wyoming) stopped to marvel at the spectacular view of the park’s Grand Canyon, a 22-mile chasm cut up to 1200 feet deep by the powerful coursing of the Yellowstone River. The canyon features stunning waterfalls, scenic overlooks, and breathtaking trails. Photographed in 1886 by F. Jay Haynes, hand tinted by Stanley R. Waine.
