San Xavier del Bac Mission was also called the “White Dove of the Desert.” This historic Spanish Catholic mission was founded in 1692 by Jesuit missionary Father Eusebio Francisco Kino. The current building was constructed between 1783 and 1797. It is considered the oldest intact European structure in Arizona. Hand tinted by Stanley R. Waine.
