Excelsior Geyser Overflow and Twin Buttes

$48.00 USD
Size: 18x24
Material: Rolled Gloss Photographic Paper (Unlaminated)

A four-horse coach travels down a lane beside the Firehole River. It was said the scalding overflow waters from the nearby Excelsior Geyser’s violent and powerful eruptions could raise the river level by as much as 16-inches. The Excelsior Geyser is no longer active. Photographed in 1895 by F. Jay Haynes, hand tinted by Stanley R. Waine.
