Bears Feeding “A la Carte”

$48.00 USD
Size: 18x24

This bear was photographed as it fed from back of horse-drawn garbage wagon in Yellowstone National Park (Wyoming). A man watches from a short distance away. Grizzlies and black bears were fed by staff and visitors at garbage dumps and roadsides at the time, with rangers even setting up bleachers for public viewing. This practice was discontinued in the 1960s. Photographed by Elliott W. Hunter, hand tinted by Stanley R. Waine.
