This massive stone archway, dedicated in 1903 by President Theodore Roosevelt, marks the north entrance to Yellowstone National Park at Gardiner, Montana. It was designed by U. S. Army Engineer Hiram Chittenden and cost $10,000. Stopped under the arch is park concessionaire F. Jay Haynes. Photographed in 1903 by F. Jay Haynes. hand tinted by Stanley R. Waine.
