Ferry on the Sumida River
This woodblock print shows a common scene of transportation crossing Tokyo's Sumida River. It is part of the series, “One Hundred Famous Views of Edo,” and was created ca. 1833–34 by Japanese artist Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858), considered the last great master of ukiyo-e art or woodblock print.
