The title translates to “The Mother of Gido Sanshi.” This woodblock print illustrates a poem by the Japanese poet Takashina no Takako (died 996). It is from the series, “Ogura Imitations of One Hundred Poems by One Hundred Poets.” It was created ca. 1847 by Japanese artist Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858), considered the last great master of ukiyo-e art or woodblock print.
