The title translates to “Five Nations … Merrymaking at the Gankirō Tea House.” This (incomplete) Japanese triptych print shows visitors from several nations enjoying a party in the Fan Room of the Gankirō, a Japanese tea house. The woodcut was created (with color) ca. 1860 by Japanese ukiyo-e artist Yoshiiku Ochiai (1833-1904). (Library of Congress, LC-USZC4-8479)
