This woodblock print is one of a series called “Famous Views of Kyoto” and shows a winter landscape. It was created ca. 1834 by Japanese artist Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858), considered the last great master of ukiyo-e art or woodblock print. (From the collection of the Rijks Museum, Amsterdam)
