This woodblock print shows Yang Lin, one of the 108 heroes from the series illustrating the Chinese novel, “Water Margin.” He is fighting a storm in a straw cape and hanging onto his hat. The woodcut was created (with color) ca. 1848 by Japanese ukiyo-e artist Kuniyoshi Utagawa (1798-1861). (Library of Congress, LC-DIG-jpd-01794)
