Slopes at Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah
Bryce Canyon, in southeastern Utah, has some of the most unusual rock formations in the world. They are called “hoodoos,” irregular rock spires that have been sculpted by millions of years of wind and water erosion. The tall Douglas fir trees growing in the red rock landscape illustrate the height of the massive canyon walls.
