Picturesque Plitvice National Park, Croatia
This Croatian park, the oldest and largest national park in Croatia and established in 1949, is famous for its magnificent scenery, including lakes and waterfalls. The largest waterfall is Veliki Slap, which falls 256 feet. Many animals live in this UNESCO World Heritage site, including brown bears, wolves, deer, wild boars, otters, minks, martens, lynx, and various kinds of bats.
