Northern Lights, Goðafoss Waterfall, Iceland
The Goðafoss waterfall in northern Iceland is 39 feet wide and falls 98 feet. The name translates to "waterfall of the gods” from a legend that tells of a local chieftain who threw statues of Nordic gods into the water after Iceland converted to Christianity. The falls are illuminated by the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) during winter.
