This fish is known for its striking colors and blue, tusk-like teeth that help them crush hard-shelled sea urchins, clams, snails, crabs, and shrimp. All are born female, but the most dominant female will turn into a male if needed. These apex predators of the coral reef are found in the Western Pacific Ocean, from Taiwan to Australia and New Caledonia.
