Open Star Cluster
This giant nebula is a huge young star cluster, one of the most massive in the Milky Way galaxy. It has been called a “jewel box” due to the luminescence produced by its thousands of sparkling young stars. NGC 3603 is located about 20,000 light-years away in the Carina Nebula, one of the largest and brightest nebulae in the sky. (Hubble Space Telescope)
