This cosmic formation, named "Mystic Mountain,” is made up of pillars of gas and dust in the Carina Nebula. The Carina Nebula is a stellar nursery about 7,500 light years away. Its main pillar of gas and dust is about 6 trillion miles tall. The image was used in 1910 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Hubble Space Telescope.
