This star-forming region, or stellar nursery, is located in the Carina Nebula. The image shows a gas pillar of cold hydrogen gas laced with dust. In this region, intense radiation from huge, newborn stars forms dense clouds of gas and dust, creating spectacular forms as seen in this image. (Hubble Space Telescope)
