This show poster was a promotional piece for Gordon William “Pawnee Bill” Lillie, a famous Wild West showman who produced “Pawnee Bill’s Historic Wild West.” The show toured the United States and Europe and merged with Buffalo Bill Cody’s show in 1909. The poster shows a bullfight in the top half and a parade of matadors, picadors, and banderilleros in the lower half. This color lithograph was published in 1898 by Strobridge Litho. Co. (C-DIG-ppmsca-59276).
