This show poster was a promotional piece for Gordon William “Pawnee Bill” Lillie, a famous Wild West showman who produced “Pawnee Bill’s Historic Wild West.” The show toured the United States and Europe and merged with Buffalo Bill Cody’s show in 1909. This poster shows a charging white buffalo in the center and includes promotional text such as “The Only Genuine Wild West.” This color lithograph was published ca. 1903 (LC-DIG-ppmsca-54938).
