This print is titled “Christmas Eve” and was painted by artist Andrew Melrose (1836-1901). It shows a snow-covered scene at dusk. Approaching the church with welcoming light coming from its windows are people on foot, on horseback, and in a horse-drawn sleigh. They have gathered for Christmas Eve services. This chromolithograph was published in 1898 by Joseph Hoover (LC-DIG-pga-01599).
