This show poster was a promotional piece for William F. Cody’s famous Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show. It shows a group of Mexican vaqueros (cowboys—riders and lariat experts who regularly performed in the Wild West shows. He included them along with American cowboys and Cossacks to appeal to a diverse audience. This color lithograph was published ca. 1899 by the Courier Litho. Co. (LC-DIG-ppmsca-54875).
