Forepaugh & Sells Dog Circus
This promotional poster, titled “Adam Forepaugh and Sells Brothers, America’s Greatest Shows Consolidate,” advertised a most popular dog circus. The troupe featured trained dogs billed as “Colonel Magnus Shult’s Magnificent $250,000 Great Danes from the Imperial Kennels of Prince Bismarck.” The poster promised “A Performance Absolutely Unparalleled in the History of Animal Training!” This color lithograph was printed in 1898 by Strobridge Litho. Co. (LC-DIG-ppmsca-38541).
