This show poster was a promotional piece for William F. Cody’s famous Buffalo Bill’s Wild West show. It shows a group of Cossacks in battle on horseback, although in the actual show they performed warlike acts of horsemanship rather than acts of battle. The portraits feature William F. "Buffalo Bill" Cody and Nate Salsbury, his primary business partner. This color lithograph was published ca. 1899 by the Courier Litho. Co. (LC-DIG-ppmsca-54871).
