This promotional circus poster advertises the many acrobatic feats of Joseph Wallenda, a circus acrobat and performer with the popular Flying Wallendas. This famous family troupe of acrobats performed death-defying stunts that had decades of circus goers gasping in their seats, such as their high-wire pyramid acts without a safety net. This color lithograph was created ca. 1884 by Adolph Friedlander (LC-DIG-ppmsca-55031).
