This photograph shows George Herman "Babe" Ruth (1895–1948) shaking hands with fellow New York Yankees player Bill Edwards during the fourth game of the 1924 World Series. “Little Ray” Raymond Kelly, was the team’s official mascot. The Yankees lost to the Washington Nationals (Senators) 4-3. The photograph was published in 1924.
