Irwin and Maul, 1887

$48.00 USD
Size: 18x24
Material: Rolled Gloss Photographic Paper (Unlaminated)

This photograph shows a fielder tagging out a baserunner sliding into second base. Photo notes identify the two players as Arthur A. “Doc” Irwin (1858-1921) and Albert J. “Smiling Al” Maul (1865-1958) of the Philadelphia Quakers (Phillies), so this may have been during a practice game. The photograph was published ca. 1887.
