This photograph shows a team portrait of the St. Louis Perfectos baseball team in uniforms with three bats at their feet. The photo was taken inside the stadium and shows grandstands in the background. The team included such greats as Cy Young, Jesse Burkett, and Bobby Wallace, and finished fifth in the league that year with an 84-67 record. The photograph was created in 1899 by Julius Caesar Strauss.
